Premium Archival Grade (405gms) canvas stretched on a 45mm deep frame and pressure laminated for long life and resistance to fading. Printed on Hahnemuhle canvas, the high white brightness provides clear, fresh colours and contrasts for colour and black-and-white reproductions.
These stretched canvases are the best available and hand stretched by craftsmen. The frames are fitted with wedges to allow for adjustment over the life of the picture and are finishes with taped backs and hangers so that they are ready to hang. The photographers name and web address is shown on the care advice label on the back of the frame.
We use the top of the range large format Epson printer and genuine Epson pigment inks. Your image is printed at high resolution from RIP software using ICC profiles to ensure accurate colour.
We use a heavy 405gsm canvas, which is pH Neutral and meets the archival standards set forth by the ‘Fine Art Trade Guild’.
Prints are allowed to cure for 24 hours before being laminated using museum grade varnish in your choice of Matte, Satin or Gloss. This provides protection from scuffs and moisture. You are then able to wipe the canvas with a slightly damp cloth if required. The veneer also prevents the print from cracking. Your canvas will have an archival life of over 100 years!
Our stretcher bars are finger jointed from the best grade European Redwood Pine which means that the bars are clean, dry, knot and spore free as well as being strong and straight with a significantly reduced chance of warping over time.
To finish off your print, wooden wedges are fitted to keep the optimum tension which can be tapped in more if necessary. A metal hanger is fixed to the back (multiple for larger canvases) to save you and the customer time. Backing tape and felt bumpers are also applied for a quality finish.
